Welcome to Dad's Kitchen
Dad's Kitchen started the way a lot of good things start — with a problem that needed solving and no one else stepping up to solve it.
As a single dad, I realized that a surprising amount of my best time with my kids happened around meals. Not planned activities. Not expensive outings. Just cooking together and sitting down to eat.
So I started being intentional about it. I'd give them something age-appropriate to do in the kitchen — stirring, measuring, carrying napkins to the table. Then we'd sit down and I'd ask questions that couldn't be answered with "yes," "no," or "fine."
Those dinners became some of our best conversations. And I thought — if this works for me, maybe it works for other dads too.
What Dad's Kitchen is
Dad's Kitchen is a program of the Mens Philanthropy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We make short videos showing real dads cooking real meals with their kids and having real conversations at the table.
We also provide resources — conversation starters, age-appropriate kitchen tasks, and tips for making the most of the time you have together.
What's next
We're just getting started. We're building out the video library, growing the community, and looking for dads who want to share their own kitchen experiences — from following and sharing our content all the way up to filming their own guest chef episodes.
If any of that sounds like you, check out our process and find where you fit.
